THE PERFECT FINISH TO HERITAGE VERANDAHS

Locally sourced Mintaro Slate Bullnose edging harmonises with the timber and tile features of heritage verandahs. We carefully measure & order your slate to the specific requirements for your verandah or steps.

A naturally occurring sedimentary rock, the stone is quarried in the Mid North of South Australia, near the Mintaro township. Mintaro Slate is hand split, with a superior and natural finish.

Mintaro Slate is used in many of Australia's most distinguished & historic buildings.

Traditionally verandah edging is bullnosed on the outer edge, although other edge profiles are available. The functional overhanging edge provides for the shedding of water.

To maximize the best appearance thickness and width should relate to the scale of the building. Mitred corners and butt joints at returns are strong and traditional.
